hi,

i'm having the following problem.
i installed a USB loader on my wii, but when i run it he cant find any of my usb flash drives...
i tried imation (8gig) and Emtec flash drive (8gig).

i can format them in WBFS manager and put an iso on them, but when i insert them in the wii, and run the usb loader he keeps giving me the timer (40secs) waiting on USB device....
when the timer hits 0 i get an error. and wii had to reboot.

i've got cIOS38_rev15 Installed
USB2.0_v0.3Beta
USB Loader Mod

anyone has any idea how to fix this?

USB Loader Mod
WTF is this? Seems like a very outdated Loader...so:

1) Get CFG-Loader FAT-Version
2) Install Hermes cIOS rev4 (222 38+60 & 223 28+37)
3) Launch CFG-Loader

If the HD/Stick still doesn't work, then it's simply not compatible. No way around then. Also, you won't get far with an 8 GB-Stick anyways if you want to switch to USB-Loading...

(Btw: Have a Look at the USB-Device Wiki Page to find a compatible Device, and enter your Devices if they aren't in there.)

ok thx for the fast reply,

i've downloaded 8367-Hermes_cIOS_222_rev4_installer and tried installing, but it seems it goes wrong at some point, since it says failed:-116, maybee i'm not connected to the internet (recently placed a new router).

that cfg50c-fat.dol file, i placed in the root (first map) of my sd card, and renamed it to bool.dol

stil nothing, it seems the usb sticks dont even get powered on. (no blinking lights or whatever)

Actually, you should place the boot.dol in /apps/usbloader-cfg/, and not in the root of the SD. Then launch it with the HBC.

I don't know what goes wrong during the install of the cIOS, but without it, it won't make any difference. You need that IOS, it has the higher compatibilty than Wanins one. Are you on 4.2? Maybe you have the Stubs from Nintendo installed...

thx,
works fine now!!!
reastablished my connection to internet.
updated the cIOS'es
used the new loader and it works!
