Hardware problems with my laptop

Well i have a problem and i have no clue what could be the cause of it.

Since some time my laptop just shuts down from time to time mostly random but when it happened once it needs some hours till i can start it again ?

First i thaught it could be the akku because whenever the laptop crashed the led that shows that the akku is loading started blinking, than i took the akku out and the problem still reminds.

weirdly sometimes the laptop works fine a whole day sometimes no 5 minutes

it doesn't just shut down like when you press the power button its like when there is a power cut

what could possibly cause this ?

Maybe it's overheating?

Or due to system problems, virus, etc?

Sounds like overheating to me hun, do you get blue screen ever or does it just pop off?

Well the laptop is mostly still cold when its goes down first time
but maybe some hardware is already damaged ...


can't really be a virus after the first shut down it often won't even start windows before going off again.
and i just reinstalled windows some weeks before


No blue screen nothing ... its just as if i foced shut off the lap

I got the same thing when one of my old laptops had a RAM problem come to think of it cutie. If you have two modules try removing one of them and then the other and see how it works, its very rare that both fail!

well just tried ... seems to work now -.-V

never knew that the pc would shut down when there is a ram problem i thaught there would be blue screen or something like this as well.

Oh when I had the problems with my laptops RAM the windows Xp reinstals I tried kept failing also, might be why your having trouble with your Ubuntu

Well i took out one of the rams and the problems are solved just that it stucks with the installation ...
after some percentage the screen seems to freeze.

maybe some problem with the CD or whatever -.-
