I’m hoping this will be an easy one, I have searched the forum
& everything seems to state DS games save automatically. So
why can’t I get it to work for me!

The 2 games that are giving
me problems are Metroid Prime Hunters & New Super Mario Bros.
I understand you have to get to save points in these games & in
Metroid Prime I have gotten passed the second boss a few times &
nothing. When I start the game again the save is at zero %. I have
also tried different versions & still no help. I’m running 2.541 &
Kernel V1.62 witch are the latest. Could my SuperCard software
be setup wrong?

Playing the same levels over & over are killing me!
Any help would be much appreciated.

In metroid you have to go into you're ship to save, jump on top of it. You can then use the transporters to get back to where you were at.

NSMB you can save after completing a castle or mini castle. Or if you spend 5 coins opening a gate it lets you save there too.

Thanks meangreenie that’s exactly what I needed to know.
I don’t know if this is the only way to save in metroid. But
I have to jump on top of the ship, & while walking near the
front I fall in, & it asks me if I want to save. Strange, but
the main thing is I can save.

I have the problem with Super Mario on ym M3 CF card version. It's the latest, with the latest passcard(3). It works for other games(phoenix wright, advance wars: dual strike, etc), but not mario. It doesnt even load up the save file when i boot up like it does for other games. This happens with the new patched one, because the other ones released dont even boot up(in on a ds-lite). If anyone can help(and lets face it, you PROBABLY cant...), you will be my lord and saviour.

With the ones that you said won't boot with your M3 if you transfer it at "normal" setting (fast boot doesn't work) in the M3 software they will boot fine. It took me a few mins to find this out on my friends M3 (I have a supercard sd) and the US version works fine on his M3 it even saves right too.It is release #434 by psyfer it that helps.

I'm gonna try this otnight. If it works, you will be my hero.

EDIT: You are OFFICIALLY the winnar. You seriously have saved me a great deal of frustration. Way to go, I owe you.

So basically, the moral of the story is, CHECK COMPATIBILITY CHARTS WHEN WRITING TO YOUR SD CARD, right? I might not have time to check every game before I leave, so as long as I use the cart to tell me how to write the rom properly, it should be ok? M3 btw.
