Problem installing cIOS on vWii

By now I've tried installing cIOS 3 times, from the official guide, yet all the time it bricks. Am I doing anything wrong or is it the guide?

Disconnect all USB devices, then test again.

Or try a different SD card.

Currently I'm using a 64GB sd card (without any usb connected), can I just copy and paste the files from there to my 2GB sd card?

Try using modmii to install the cios in wad form instead

Alright, I'll try with the new SD first, and then if that goes wrong I'll try with modmii

Switching the SD didn't work so I'll try using the wads later (Can I also install the patched IOS80 or not?)
