Hacking Preparing update I'm worried

Hi all, today I just wanted to play a retail game that a friend of mine give to me.
I'm on 5.5.1 and block update with tubehax.
I use the old method to start hbc.
So today I insert the disk and when I try to start the game a pop up shows that said "preparing update" and I've notice that on the dock bar on the game pad the update icon shows a red X on it.
I was afraid that it just update on itself without asking permission. And I shout down the console brutally.
What I have to do? Is there a new update? That was download and ready to be installed? I just want to play safe.

The next time I'll just be answering "Yes, there's a new update, 5.5.2, it patches the current browser exploit, haxchi and cbhc" just because there's a lot of people that doesn't even bother to do a simple google search

PREPARING TO UPDATE. Could just me a game update. Game updates are different than system firmware updates. Each time a game is started it checks for updates, they fix game problems or add new features. But only if updates are available. But since you are BLOCKING UPDATES, you have nothing to worry about. Please ignore the Download failed X icon.
