Hardware Preparing my 3DS for its new owner

I have to admit I'm a little confused here. Help would be appreciated!

I've sold my 3DS. In the sale I've included all my download games.

So what I want to do is factory-reset all my 'personal' data(Miis, save games etc...) while leaving my downloads in tact. Will a standard reset do that? Or will it wipe my games too????

It will wipe your games, too. AFAIK there's no way to remove personal data without a factory reset which will remove all downloads as well.

Well that sucks a big fat one!

I guess I'll have to manually remove as much as I can then.

Just make sure you deform your Mii and Rename him, then delete the personal info in the e-shop. Then it should be fine.

Might want to take the extra mile and delete Cart Data too. Just to be safe.

I'm not really worried about safety/security - there's nothing personal on there (except photos which are CLEARLY going to be removed from the SD card ). I just want the buyer to have a nice "as new" system to start from, but still with the games! meh
