Gaming Pre-Ordered Games availability times

Hi there,

Just wondering, if you pre-order a game from the eShop and you try and use the game at 00:00 AM in lets say GMT time zone, would it let you play or is there another timezone the eShop follows, or does it not follow time but something uploaded to the servers?

Not exactly planning to stay up till midnight and play a game but its still interesting to know.

I believe it should be midnight in your region, though the "region" might have multiple time zones. For example, I live on the west coast of the United States, and games release at midnight Eastern time, meaning I get to play the game at 9PM the day before, because the US west coast is three hours behind the East coast. Though I think some third party games might release on different schedules, such as launching at the same time everywhere, meaning different parts of the world might get the game at all hours of the day.

I know that answer isn't too helpful, but it's all the info I'm aware of. I might also be wrong.
