Hi everyone, I managed to get CFW on my N3DS a couple weeks ago so here's currently the setup:

sysNAND: 9.2
emuNAND: 10.6 (I think)

Now I kinda have some questions I wish you guys could answer:
  • As I was playing this morning it asked me to do a system update. Would it be safe to just update emuNAND anytime?
  • How do I play GBA titles? I did notice when I used HBL there was something about a GBA emulator but I can't remember. Would it be straightforward as just putting the .gba files and opening them using the said app? Or would it be the same as with the .3ds games where you have to convert it first to CIA before installing?

should be safe to update emunand if native firmware isn't updated. wait 'til it's confirmed. the newest update is safe.

dunno about the second question. I use cia files.

Update by going into System Settings, making sure the version shows something other than 'Ver.' at the beginning (this double checks you are in emuNAND) going to other settings then system update.

For the second, you can install GBA games to your home menu. You need a patched AGB_FIRM (you can find it in that ISO site, make sure you install the N3DS version not O3DS). Then you can install GBA games as .cias (you can also find these on the ISO site). If your NANDs are unlinked you have to install the games on sysNAND as well as emuNAND.

Before updating emuNAND shouldn't you make sure that your emuNAND and SysNAND are unlinked?

Ok I will look into that AGB_FIRM stuff. I don't know what you mean about that ISO site though.

@tekwarfare Both are unlinked as was mentioned in the guide I was following so I'll go ahead and update.
