Hacking [POLL] Free CFW Usage

I'm curious what the overall trend has been like regarding free CFW usage. When I say free CFW, I'm referring to Atmosphere, ReiNX, and anything else that doesn't cost money. If, for whatever reason, you've used more than one free CFW, please choose the date for the first time you started using one.

If you use free CFW and SX OS, then vote for when you started using free CFW.

This thread is not for debating the pros and cons of using free CFW as opposed to SX OS.

needs more options so as to be clearer in data collection and state whether the user has SX OS or not .. as you fail to account for users who have purchased CFW AND also use free CFW.

Not really, it is the date you started using free CFW. That's pretty clear. The date you started using SX OS has as little to do with the poll as the date you first rode a bike or moved out of home or had your first kiss.

you'll be unaware, but Lacius's intention for this poll is to compare the numbers of people using free vs paid CFW.

In order to be consistent with my last poll, more options cannot be added. If a person uses free CFW in addition to SX OS, then he or should would vote for when he or she started using free CFW. I will add that information to the first post.

Yes, but not exactly. It's to compare the adoption rates. In other words, the goal is to see if the rate of free CFW adoption is consistent, slowing, speeding up, etc. contrasted with SX OS. It is not to see which is more popular. A single poll could accomplish that.

That would then show trends if people tried CFW but couldn't get it to work and then purchased SX OS, as well as whether SX OS purchasers moved away to free CFW.

Well besides SX OS being the only CFW I've used for a good while, Atmosphere is just a better CFW. I don't know whats the point of ReiNX besides having anime on the boot sceeen. Difference I see more is that Atmosphere just gets CFW first on any firmware before anything else for those who like to update their Nintendo Switch (stop updating the Nintendo switch right away)

To do anything like that, I'd have to also redo the SX OS poll, and I'm not going to do that right now. This should suffice for now.

When reinx came out, atmosphere was not released. So there was no question of which was better because one didn't exist for users yet.

Atmosphere was usable during that time, despite not having an official release yet.
