ROM Hack Pokemon X/Y/OR/AS zone data?

So there's this old video demonstrating map hacking in games built on xy_system (the internal name of gen6 Pokemon engine)



I've looked around, but I found nothing about where the zone data is stored in RomFS. GARCs aren't exactly easily searchable, does anybody have any clue which one it could be?

I was thiking about making a map viewer, though right now it seems like it would be a huge undertaking, given how complex the filesystem is.
Also, if anybody knows anything about PC/PF/PT files, I'd love to hear it...
