I recently discovered that you can play randomized versions of Pokémon games directly on the console simply by loading the resulting .nds or .cia file from the randomization process. I tried doing this with Pokémon White as my first option, but the game crashes every time I catch a wild Pokémon (this started happening after a while; at first it only crashed occasionally) or it freezes randomly when interacting with objects or people until I decide to restart the console.
The process I followed to make this work was as follows:
It doesn't give me any issues on the MelonDS emulator.
If anyone knows what I could try or what to do, I'd really appreciate it.
Little extra: I had to re-randomize the game a few times and didn’t change the .sav file.
The process I followed to make this work was as follows:
- Dump the contents of an original cartridge to the memory to get the .nds file using GM9Megascript.
- Randomize the .nds file with Universal Pokémon Randomizer ZX.
- Place the resulting .nds file into the "nds" folder of TWMenu++.
