ROM Hack Pokemon Sun/Moon Patch Idea

Hi all,
Would it be within the realm of possibility to implement a patch for Sun and Moon that allows movement through the D-Pad, rather than the thumb stick?

I know that it can be assigned to your ride-on pokemon but does anyone think it would be possible for a patch like this to be made?

For a game that has true free 3D movement? The Circle Pad is definitely much better.
As for making the patch, I don't think it's really possible, but you could always try input redirection, so you can play the game using your keyboard on your PC. This requires CFW though, so install A9LH while you can.
