Gaming Pokemon SS Glitch

I made Machamp used Revenge on a Rhydon for normal damage, but a Karate Chop does supereffective damage. Both moves are fighting type. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've found this happens more often with Seismic Toss

I haven't played pokemon in ages so i could be wrong, but isn't rhydon a rock type, and fighting is supereffective against rock..?

Yes, which is why its weird for Revenge to only do normal damage. this happens for seismic toss too

Revenge doesn't apply type matchups.

Seismic Toss does a pre-set amount of damage. Damage dealt = the user's level.
