Indeed it was because of the font being so "space-hungry" that it required resources only available on the GBC.
Hopped over to TCRF, and yeah they needed the second bank of VRAM, the page reports. That's a good enough reason I suppose, since they came out even later.

if rse remake release in full 3d on the 3ds. I would buy it even if it cost very much. it would be so wonderfull i would love the game.

The original players of BW were on the DS. BW2 was designed to be the sequel to BW. If they made it on the 3DS, it's likely going to piss some BW players who cannot afford a 3DS.
To be frank, there will always be one group of people pissed at something for every single thing really. Like (some) 3DS early adopters were pissed at the price cut, pissed when the XL was released and were gonna be pissed if the XL had a second circle pad built in. And the list goes on and on. LOL XD

You never can please everybody.
There will always be a hater for no reason.
The important is that if RSE remake have good sells and good critics metascore.

I would be really happy to see a full 3DS pokémon, like pokémon XD.
3DS already have hardware to support that, just look at Dragon Quest Monsters TW 3D.
For me, this should be the future of pokémon franchise.
It's a huge difference, and some old-fashioned fans may not like it,
but pokémon sells well, and they can afford that risk.
Pokémon Black and White were the most different and risky pokémons made,
and yet they're the most sellling pokémon games ever.

It is not true

Really? I read a lot of times, in different articles,
that they were the best-selling pokémon games.

Which pokémon titles are the best-selling ever?

red/green (or red/blue) with more than 30 million sales, if you sum with yellow, we got more than 45 million sold

Wow, that's really impressive.

But with B/W 2, maybe B/W series can surpass this outstanding sales number.
B/W got 14.71 mi sales, around half of that number.
And I don't discard the possibility of a Gray version

you cannot consider Black, White, Black 2, White 2 and Gray as same game and compare with PKM Red/Blue. By the way, B/W has worse sold less than Gold / Silver, less than Diamond / Pearl, less than Ruby / Sapphire, less than, etc.

I cant call it a failure because it was cheap produced, and have good sells comparing with games in general, but comparing with pokemon series, it had a weak sale performance (as BW1 it is dead already, we can take this numbers as final numbers).

You are comparing 3 games sells to 2 games sells, that's not right.
You should compare just 2 releases with 2 releases.

Pokémon Red and Blue/Green - 23.64 mi
Pokémon Gold and Silver - 23 mi
Pokémon Diamond and Pearl - 17.57 mi
Pokémon Black and White - 14.71 mi
Pokémon Ruby and Saphire - 13 mi
Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver 11.90 mi
Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen - 11.82 mi

If we consider the 3rd version of the games, I don't see why not considering B/W 2 the same as B/W.
As you can see, Pokémon B/W sells weren't bad for a Pokémon game
