ROM Hack Pokemon Pearl crashing.

I use the R4, and I played pokemon on it for quite some time. But today, everytime I search through the boxes and search through the pokedex the game crashes?

Anyone know why this happens? And it is always the game pokemon that crashes everytime I put the cursor over him.

Anyone know what the problem is?

R4 = MicroSD, R4 = Slot 1 Flashcart

The fact that it is an R4 does not change the fact that flash carts aren't as fast as the game.

However, this should not make the game crash, so it is a potentially fixable problem (without the need to buy anything).

did you edit the pokemon with pokesave, maybe you screwed up somehow.

i been trying to figure out the problem as well.

for example, one time i went through the pokedex, then went back up to charmander, viewed his stuff, and it froze

restart, went straight to charmander, and it worked good.


its possible maybe it does have to do with the microsd speed..or a small bug in the r4 firmware?


im planning on formatting the microsd card, and then putting only the nessassary stuff back on, to see if i can get it to freeze again. feel free to go ahead and try that before me

It has nothing to do with the R4 firmware unless you have cheats enabled.

isnt that pretty obviously why it would crash? How many posts are on here saying oh yeah my game is screwed up, after 20 questions its like oh yeah I used pokesav/AR cheats...
