Gaming pokemon diamond cheat help

Okay, so I want to be able to catch and train a few pokemon that are unattainable in this version of the game. I have the cheat database downloaded and I can access all the cheats but I'm not sure what one to use or how to even use it. Is there a cheat that can spawn any pokemon I want?(looking to get a squirtle, mew, ho-oh, articuno, entei and darkrai)

Probably a dumb question but I don't really understand the cheat database...sorry & thanks.

yeah, that's the cheat I need. how do I activate it on my ds though?

this is the cheat right?

when I start my ds I go to pokemon diamond and hit Y to bring up the cheat menu but it lists all the other cheats and that's where I get lost..don't know what button to press to activate only one.

find the folder that your cheat is in. choose no cheats in the cheat menu and then find the code and enable it. easy

maybe I have some of the settings messed up? I'm probably just confused .. this sounds way simpler than I'm making it out to be sorry..
