i found this on how to build it but it is showing differently than on the site. a folder called net46 and a folder called netcoreapp3.0 are in the debug folder. and both have a pkhex hex and the dll file mentioned. which should i use?? took me all day to finally get visual studio downloaded with its proper stuff like i got on my mac for homework. now i just want to be sure of which is which?? or does it matter which of the two pkhex applications to use? they both opened.

Is there a reason you're using unstable builds?
