I don't get it why they're keeping it, it looks so jarring and the A series has gotten rid of it.

I'm happy with my Pixel 9a (7 year support) so unless there's a really good deal I'll stick with it.

Don't the Pro versions have a tele lens opposed to the A series? Maybe the device is too thin to fit this in otherwise?

The outer appearance isn't something I'm interested anyway. Book style case/cover and all good. :) (Clumsy idiots like me need that).

My main question is if full alternate OS support will be retained after Google dropped releasing device trees. "Leaks" never address such questions.

I think I've just gotten exhausted of bulky phones (and oh boy I remember the brick phones) so the 9a is perfect for me. Guess 10a will be designed in a similar way so unless 256GB is cheaper or my 9a starts malfunctioning (this is why I switched from 7a to 9a) I'll just skip upgrading.
