Pikmin 4 - graphic mod
  • 900p fixed resolution (docked)
  • 720p fixed resolution (handheld)
  • Disabled AA
  • Sharpening tone mapper added
  • Chromatic aberration disabled
To use this same mod in the Demo change the folder name to 0100E0B019974000, GPU/CPU/RAM OC is required to play smoothly, didn't play throughly so could/couldn't be slowdowns, stutter, etc...
Any post related to graphic tweaks for emulators will be ignored.

Is it realistic to run the game at 1080p in docked mode on an overclocked Mariko Switch?
would also like to see a 1080p graphics mod with the AA on. That would need a lot of gpu power since digital foundry says it hovers around 810p instead of 900p on the base clocks. I think your right only Mariko could do it

Thanks for the mod! It's greatly appreciated.

I do have a question, though - or rather, I'm seconding a question someone else asked. Why disable the TAA? I find that keeping the TAA and fiddling with sharpening values is likely to produce a higher image quality overall than 900p with no AA will. If I could somehow do 900p with TAA on, that'd probably be my go-to.

972p fixed, tested on Mariko 2131 ram, 1581 CPU, 1267 GPU.
1080p lags considerably in high geometry viewport, at least on my Switch (can't reach 2400 RAM)

Added a version with FXAA, I don't like TAA as it makes everything so blurry, and creates a halo effect in UE4

And why not without AA like the other version? I prefer without it, lol

A TAA version would be dope but I get it, TAA at low resolutions/framerates doesn't always perform as well as one would like. I'll stick with the 900p one for now but I'd love it if you did upload a TAA version or told us how to edit the files to do it ourselves. Either way, thanks a lot!

If you look on GameBanana there are tools for extracting the pak and utoc files. It was a bit of a faff as it seems to need a full unpacked version of the game to know what files go where. But with that you can edit the resolution of the provided mods - we have one with no AA and one with FXAA, so take your pick.

Are you able to post a 1080p version so those who can reach 2400MHz RAM can test it?

Hey,
can you post a version with just the fixed resolution and nothing else changed?
972p docked
720p handheld
That would be great.
