Gaming Perm Error 2002-4153

I am having permanent 'error 2002-4153'. Every game I played shows "The software was closed because an error occurred". I have tried the following:
1) check game corruption ( all good)
2) reinstall software - persist
3) reinitialise - persist
4) reinitialise under maintenance mode - persist
5) Update software - Currently on latest firmware

I have also tried install app such as YouTube, but the software could not run.

What could be the issue?

well, looking up the error code, its:

2002-4153 / 0x207202
Error: ROM is corrupted.

the problem is i dont know how the ROM, which is Read-Only by default, got corrupted.
did you recently update the firmware?
also, do you have the latest sigpatches?

Yeah, the software seems to be lacking a file to boot the games.

I am not too sure on software update as I got the set from my cousin who handed to me for troubleshooting.

How do I check on the sigpatch version? And this is applicable even though I am on stock ROM?

stock ROM? are you installing games from the e-shop as in your switch is not running AMS or SXOS?
because if it was, then i think you dropped back into OFW, original FirmWare, when you should be in CFW, Custom FirmWare.

Yes. I am on games from the eshop.

Are you suggesting that unit was patched to stock ROM and require a custom FW to work?

ah, no. i had thought your switch was already hacked. stock rom issues i cant help with...

By any chance, would you think the issue will resolve if I were to go CFW?

I am thinking if this is a defective firmware residing on the Switch. Is there a simple way to re-patch the firmware?
