Deleted my Recovery partition and I installed Windows 7 onto a freshly-made NTFS partition. Wow, this OS is amazing! I'll never go back to Vista!

I noticed one odd thing. The unallocated space from the deleted Recovery partition can not be added to a partition! It remains as its own unallocated space. Before I made the partition after I deleted the Recovery partition, I had one section of unallocated space that was the size of the Recovery partition, and I had 20 gigs of unallocated space that I made. What gives there?

I guess wiping the MBR might render that partition useless, I haven't tried so I can't confirm this, but if you want that drive space back you have to wipe the partition itself. I dunno, when I lost all my data on my Dell XPS M1330 because my grandpa thought the MD button was the button to turn the laptop on (I can't blame him, I can see why he wouldn't know), I had nothing to lose after that, so I wiped the whole HDD. Kind of a PITA. Oh well, my next laptop will be from Apple and hopefully when I turn it on I won't find over 9000 partitions filled with random junk.

But the maximum amount of partitions you can have in Windows is 4....
