Hi guys

for a reason i now cant explain i started updating my ios on 4.1. that went ok then i noticed that some parts of the ios were labelled as "useless now"

like an idiot i deleted all "spoofed?" (can't remember what it said) ios's.

Now the wii boots but crashes everytime i select any channel or try and start a game. as a last resort i used nintendo update and formatted the memory which both failed to recover the wii.

the unit still boots and allows access to settings etc but wont run games or channels.

i dont have a nand backup,

anyone offer up any help? the unit is now sat at 4.3 which isnt too useful either.

thanks

dave

Do you have the Homebrew Channel installed? Does it open? If so, download and run sysCheck and paste the results here. Odds are you will need to reinstall most of your IOS files, but I don't know why the system update wouldn't have fixed that.

thanks guys! no 4.3 removed it. i have the files and game to exploit back into the wii but it wont run the game to install the exploit. had it been 4.1 i think i could have repaired it??

i'm think wait for an easier way into 4.3 to become available other then exploits?

Try running another system update with the internet. Unless you still have bootmii installed as boot2, it's the only thing you can do to get channels and such running again.

I bet you used dop-ios v11.4. Run dop-mii v12+ and do a system scan. Hope that helps. If you can't load anything, try to load the system menu, then press [HOME], [Wii Menu], "Return to Wii Menu?" =YES, that could let you load disc and channels again so you can fix it. You need to get dop-mii v12+ plus to run and do a system scan, this should fix your issue.

yes dop-ios v11.5 killed it.

i can't load anything, reseting from the system menu made no difference. the disc spins up and stays spinning flat out.

if i could banner bomb back into it i think dop-mii would fix it.

repeating update, says wii at upto date version.

argrghh!

thanks for your help guys

I have the exact same problem caused by dop-ios v11.5, tried to fix with a format then update to 4.3.
Ended up having to buy another 2nd hand wii console.

Banner bomb would work if nintendo hadn't blocked it in ver 4.3.
It did for someone on 4.2 here:-

I did have a nand dump but the update to 4.3 deleted bootmii, so I can't use it.
Tried savemefrii, using a gamecube contrlloer, got into the recovery menu, but still couldn't boot any kind of disc.

Still have the part bricked console, only chance is that a new online update might fix it or another non-disc
exploit like banner bomb.

If you can't get anything to load, your out of luck.
If you have your nand keys from a bootmii nand.bin you can send it to deadlyfoez for nand reprogramming.

Possibly you could install a modchip and load a game exploit from the recovery menu. I don't know if that would work or not, it could.

You could also try loading the wii into maintenance mode, hold + and - at the health screen and then press A. But I think you'll have the same issue, but worth a try.
