Gaming Original Wii SD Card error

Hello,

I have an original Wii and I’ve been trying to use an SD Card for Homebrew.

It keeps saying: “nothing is inserted into the SD Card slot”, and there actually is.

I’ve tried using the “butterknife” method and turned it off for 5 minutes, and I’ve also tried formatting the SD Card. It also works in my laptop. It also has the SD print/logo on it. Why isn’t it working on my Wii?

Is it formatted as FAT32 or exFAT?

@CaitlinL13579 Is your SD card in FAT32 or exFAT? IF it's in exFAT then format it back to FAT32

I have stopped take out my SD card altogether because those parts wear out over time.

Could it be that the Micro-SD adapter stopped working correctly. I remember once years ago having lots of trouble and having to insert and re-insert the SD card, thinking the reader on the Wii was to blame, but in fact was the adapter. Once changed, it never happened again.

Some are very mediocre.
