Sometimes in collections you will have two versions of same title. One original and other taken from virtual console. Which one should you pick and are the virtual roms the same between each console e.g wii, wii u, handhelds,etc. Are you more likely to get benefits by using original rom with emulator of choice like retroarch and its suite of custom options? I like playing on switch but nice to have the option to do it on hdtv with snes or gba games. TIA
 
Can be quickly answered. VC roms are sometimes edited to remove epilepsy triggering effects, or to censor roms. Hardly ever are they edited to "fix bugs" but I guess in some cases thats done as well.

What is best. *cough* You decide.

edit: Are they the same between VC releases. Depends. If there are two scene releases, probably not. ;)
