1.) where is that tutorial for getting hbc on fw4.0?

2.) what is that app that boots hbc automaticaly when you start up your wii?


i tried searching the forums but they only allow you to do 1 search every 60 seconds, which is annoying.

1) It was more of a proof of concept. You needed access to the keys of the machine, which you can't get unless you have HBC installed already.

im not talking about installing on legit 4.0, im talking about the downgrade/upgrading to 4.0 with hbc still working in it tehnique... or atleast i think i am

If you don't have homebrew channel already installed there is currently no way to install or use HBC on 4.0. As someone already mentioned the tutorial you referenced was a proof of concept and not an actual guide to install HBC on 4.0. You could only use the "downgrade-upgrade" technique if you already had HBC installed, and judging by your initial question, this is not the case.

If your happy on 3.1, why do you need tutorials for 4.0? The HBC doesn't get deleted in any way you update to 4.0. I'd keep a WAD manager/installer channel though, in case your homebrew channel ever gets moved to SD card by "accident" or something.
