cant take a pic but it says "an error has occured forcing the software to close." "The system will now restart"

Do you have the steelhax folder and the correct payload.bin? (according to the guide on steelminer.jisagi.net)

Yes i did it on both systems and both havent worked

Im currently still having a problem and ive tried new sd cards and 2 different systems and neither have worked. i have no clue whats wrong

You can try an other way to install cfw. The "free" method is frogminer. Or if you have a flashcard try it with ntrboothax. Easy and really fast. I mean if you're planning to do this.

If you're not getting the same error on both systems, then you must be doing something differently.

Are you using the appropriate Old 3DS and New 3DS payloads?

He skipped the step to rename the payload.bin. Now he should be fine
