Back in July, when the dex hack came out, I committed myself to switching to dex. Well, I bricked my ps3. Bought an E3 flasher and it never worked. Couldn't get a refund, so I gave up. The other day I found a ps3 on ebay for 160 dollars on fw 3.5. Now its mine and on rogero. Having a blast with it!

Sorry to hear about your bricked system, but glad you were able to find a happy ending.

I'm still wondering if there will ever be a 4.* CFW as bullet-proof as kmeaw's 3.55... and more than likely, one that doesn't need me to go back down to 3.55 to update again.

uhm if you have an old copy of the NOR of the bricked system (in good condition) it may be recoverable.. Mine bricked with just 20 days I purchased it. With just an E3 and reverse-byte (little to big endian) the bios header allowed to boot my ps3 back to life. (no, it wasn't quality assurance flagged..)
