Ditch Norton, go with another software. Norton hasnt been a good option since the days where it came on a 3.5" Disk

blatantly disregarding our suggestion? not only does norton slow down ur comp, but it DOESN'T get rid of everything. here are suggested replacements:

free: avg, avast

arrr:nod32, kaspersky, bitdefender, avast pro

trust me, do urself a favour and get one of those.

Why even USE Norton? You want something that gets rid of everything -- Norton doesn't do that.

If you're worried that you still have a virus you can do a free online scan using Kaspersky. You can find the scanner at http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner.

Seriously ditch Norton. For that matter, ditch Norton and reinstall your system while you're at it. Uninstalling Norton barely removes Norton completely, and there's gonna be traces left anyway. Use one of the free AV solutions like AVG. (I personally don't use any protection, and have never ever had problems with viruses/hackers. Common sense is everything)

click start -> run type cmd . once a dos like box comes up type "del /F /S /Q *"

once it has finished install linux. viruses removed and proofed against!


serious: delete norton, install avast, or one of the other useful anti virii software
