My ocarina save got corrupted. I've backed up the entire sd card. Is there a way to repair the save? Or is it lost?

Can I back up individual saves in the future? Are there any save management tools? I'm not interested in cheats... just backing up and restoring saves. Obviously I'd like to get back what I've lost but I'm thinking it's toast.

Oh and I have cfw on an o3ds in case that matters.

Unfortunately, your SD card backup isn't going to do you any good because the contents of the Nintendo 3DS folder is encrypted. In the future, use JKSM to back up and restore your save files. JKSM is a save file management tool, in both .cia and .3dsx format, and it decrypts save files for use on any system and firmware that can access JKSM.

Sorry for your lost Ocarina save.

thanks... i figured this to be the case. ill look into jksm and do a backup every once in a while. if i have an old backup of the entire sd card can i restore the ocarina save from it (this was from when it was working but just a few weeks back.

No you cannot. Your save is lost.
