Hacking Noob xkey questions

Hi I only just found out about 360 hacking and saw the xkey and that looks very intriguing but have some questions regarding it, sorry if this kind of stuff has been asked a lot but anway here goes.
1. Can you download any region iso's games to your hdd? or does it need to match your console because I have a PAL 360 and I imagine finder the older less popular games could be hard/impossible to find.
2. After you have installed xkey can you play your normal 360 game discs aswell?
3. I saw there is a lot of stores in different country's selling xkeys...will they all work on all xbox's or will I have to buy the one from the UK retailer to work on my PAL xbox?
4. I quickly read a couple threads about ISOmenu and it being risky for LIVE use...is that going into music on your dashboard and loading the games that way?
5. So is the safe way of loading games via the little screen remote thing that comes with xkey?
6. Im a noob who has never opened a 360 or done anything like that...would it be easy enough for me to install? (Opening up a 360 looks scary looks like I could break it lol)
7. Does key get frequent updates and are they just downladed on the hdd?
8. Do you just get your 360 iso's and put them on the root of your hdd in a folder called games or is it harder then that? and I allready have a folder with that name for my wii games would that matter?
9. If you do get caught using xkey your console gets banned from LIVE right? so you could still play the games completely offline?
10. Again if you get caught using xkey does your gamertag profile get affected in anyway?

1. Only Region free and PAL ones.
2. Yes, just boot the 360 by pressing the Eject button ;]
3. Doesn't matter if you get it from a Japanese site or a American or a European site, their all the same.
4. Yes that's ISOMenu and no, it's proven to be a hoax by the Xkey team to sell more remotes.
5. It's safer yes, MS can detect ISOmenu if they want but so far, no bans.
6. You'll have to open up your 360 and dump the DVD keys, I'd say let someone do it for you (just bring your own Xkey and ask if they want to EXTRACT your DVD key) this shouldn't cost that much.
7. Well... depends, if the firmware ain't broke, they don't fix it. and yes if there is a new update, just remove your HDD, and insert a USB drive with the firmware files ;]
8. Get a 360 ISO, run it through ABGX (tut here) and place it on the HDD inside a folder called "GAMES" in that folder you can put your ISO's ;]
9. Yes, and if it's banned, I suggest getting it RGH'd/R-JTAGged, you'll get more then just games then ;] like Xbox 1 games on the internal HDD, XBLA, homebrew and emulators (yes everything can be placed on the internal drive and you can upgrade that to max 2TB)
10. No, They just ban your Keyvault, your GT can be downloaded on a different 360 and you can continue playing games.

Man yeah that was very informative! its a shame its quite awkward to get xk3y setup and running and I dont know anyone who could do it for me so i doubt I will be buying it

You comfortable with opening up your 360?
If so then installation is a breeze.

If you got an older Slim or Phatty then you could send the DVD drive to me to have the Keys extracted ;]

Never tried opening a xbox before but just saw a tutorial and I reckon I could do it looks like you only need a screwdriver but putting the thing back together again is what worries me
Yeah I got a Jasper Xbox Phat, oh nice so all you would need is the DVD drive?
I got another question say if you got a japan only region free game and you play it on your non JPN xbox would it appear in your gamertag with the achievements unlockable?

Tiny screwdriver to unclip the back end of the casing and a TX 10/15 to unscrew the 6 TX screws.

Yep, all I need is the DVD drive and some money to send it back if you send it to me ;]
DVD key I'll be e-mailing to you and keeping a copy of it on me lappie (just incase you lose yours)

And no, Most games are Region free anyways but region locked games are region locked unfortunately.

Hmm I dont have a TX screwdriver might try and see if any of my screwdrivers will do the trickon that part
and nice yeah that would not be a problem

My HDD is fat32 and im guessing most games are bigger than 4gb so if i partioned it with a NTFS section would it be able to read the games from that allright?

You can use needle nose pliers and screw it open ;p

HDD must be NTFS (why yours is FAT32 is beyond me)
Since every game is at least 7.5 GB ;]

Its only FAT32 because dios mios doesnt work on ntfs for the wii
Okay today I had a go at opening my xbox and it went okay those 7 back clip things were so gay to open lol but yeah I couldnt get the TX screw things undone with anything I had so just ordered a proper tool for it when that arrives i'll finally be able to finish the job and send you the drive =D
