Gaming Nintendogs ...

Hi all,

A question from my daughter rather than me.

She has Nintendogs (the Dalmatian version), has chosen her puppy and taught it it's name. But now all she appears to be able to do is either tap the centre circle (whistle for the dog to come) or tap in the bottom left.

When the dog gets to the bottom screen - she can pat it, stroke it, etc but there no icons to press (other than the back one in the top left). More often than not the DS tells her to say the dog's name into the mic over and over again (20 times plus).

Anyone got any idea as what she is doing wrong ? Or is there a problem with Nintendogs and the Acekard ?

Download a game with a mic test and make sure your mic works.

hi tattar8, the mic definitely works because (a) the dog does come if she calls his name and (b) you get the 'recognition' thing (stars around the dog's head thing) when you've done something correctly.

it just feels like the stage she is at now that (a) either there should be more icons on the screen or (b) she is not doing something correctly when the dog is in the bottom screen.

What stage?
the sit down stage?
Than you must say ``dogname`` sit down
Or download a nintendogs save file kil the dogs on that save and buy a new one Than edit the Profile and ready

Than you must say ``dogname`` sit down

It didn't have an actual name for the stage as such. She's given her dog a name, siad it 3/4 times into the mic and the dog knows his name now. It then goes to an interior of a house with the dog prowling round the top screen. The bottom screen has the central whistle button and dog icon in the bottom left (where you can click and it changes to show a little video camera, or click to find his current state and what tricks/contests he has won etc).

There was nothing about "now you teach your dog to sit" etc. If she pets the dog's head enough times, apparently, a picture of a bone appears.

Sorry for sounding vague but she is only 6 and is trying her best to describe what's going on.
