I am having an HDCP lock up issue that I think I have narrowed down to the nintendo switch dock.
HDCP lock is when the signal between the TV/Stereo/Misc devices is broken and causes issues like HDMI CEC failure, or more specifically in my case, encrypted television channels from my SiliconDust HDHomeRun fail to play.

I know this seems like it's more video related than switch related but it seems to only happen when the nintendo switch is on the dock and connected via HDMI.
The switch is on firmware 19.0.1 and it's running the latest Atmosphere with Hekate. The dock has the latest firmware that's available and so do the joy cons. (for what it's worth)
My switch is banned so I just run off the sysNAND instead of doing an emuNAND.
My stereo is a Marantz NR1608, the TV is a Sony a95l (that I just got!), and the HDMI cables are brand new 8K hdmi 2.1 compliant cables.
Ultimately I have to disconnect the nintendo switch dock from the HDMI, then disconnect and reconnect the HDMI from the TV eARC port, then power cycle the stereo before the HDCP will work again.

I have gone several weeks with the switch dock unplugged and had NO HDCP issues. When I plug the dock back in, I can go for maybe a day or two and then the problem occurs again.

I'm not sure if it's the switch itself, or the current game I'm playing, BioShock, or what.

Anyone else run into issues with HDCP lock when using a modded switch and a dock?
Thanks in advance.

Just to rule it out, this is an official Ninteno dock, not one of those fake ones you can get off of places like AliExpress?
@tbgtbg Yes it's an official Nintendo dock, not a 3rd party or anything.

Also, in case anyone else is curious about the HDCP lock I'm talking about, there's a link to a Sony article that talks explains it.

(Whoops, forgot I'm new and can't post links. Google search for: sony 00173195 and you will find the "Troubleshoot HDMI-CEC issues between the audio system and TV" page.

So, I have now determined that it only happens when the nintendo switch is in the dock. AND is happens with an unmodded switch so I think it's just in the way that the dock/switch is communicating through HDMI that is causing a lock up. Maybe not conforming to strict standards of HDCP? Who knows, but now that it's happening with a vanilla switch, I will contact nintendo to see what they can say about it.

Either the dock is faulty or your cable is damaged.
