just stick with cartridges next time. physical game copies are good if you want to resell a game or for collection. I still don't see the advantage or value of having a digital copy for games. Steam for example, I don't even play half or more than half the games I own. hahaha.

edit: Just a second hand game or something if Nintendo won't compensate you on the lost game/s.

Last year I only bought two games digitally on the Wii U @ Child of Light and some really cheap game that lasted for 10mins. I played both fully and haven't touched them in months at all but in any case I'd still always like to have access to them. Child of Light was a masterpiece published by Ubisoft which I truly loved its music, story, visuals, style and gameplay.

Ah yes, I also bought GTA San Andreas HD Edt. on Xbox 360 last year and this has been taken care of in regards to backing up (it's on the 360 as well as an external HDD). I don't plan on hacking my 360 but if I do then all of this backing stuff up becomes pointless.

To the OP, that's total bullshit on Nintendo's behalf. Those fools deserve every bit of piracy that comes to them. As much as I love digital games. It does suck when you lose them. I lost 20+ games on OnLive and now I'm "hunting down" PC copies. Oh well. Hopefully Nintendo will correct the OP's loss.

Ive said this before, but someday, nintendo will figure out that the internet isnt just a fad that will go away. They are so far behind with the internet portion of their business its not even funny. "We didnt add twitch streaming to our consoles because we didnt think watching half and hour of gaming was fun." Well thats interesting because there are people out there making their living streaming video games for a living.

I am sorry for you OP, thats quite the sad turn of events. Personally I have never had much of and issue downloading things from nintendo, but I do know their online services are slow. I browse the eshop now and then but it just seems silly to download anything from there.

well tbh I can't see the appeal in twitch besides interactive streams like twitch plays pokemon.

And the online has improved a lot on Wii U, Splatoon feels seamless to play online, Wii U eShop is great, but the account tied to console thing and messaging tied to Miiverse thing bother me.
