Found this on the Nintendo main website:
Even more, the 3DS seems to add new features with some type of compatibility tester, new animations to the top screen, and apparently a utilization of the Street Pass feature most likely used in tandem with the compatibility feature to see which songs you and whoever else happens to walk by have in common. It does, however, look somewhat similar to the DSi version, but with a pretty 3DS coat.

MP3's = Major Win. I'm an avid user of the Sound Channel and am tired of getting songs, waiting for my iTunes to load, adding the MP3s to the library, waiting for them to convert, and then putting them on the SD Card; it's a major waste especially if you have a bunch of songs you want to put on your DSi.QUOTE said:The Nintendo 3DS Sound application lets you listen to your favorite music saved on an SD Card in MP3 or AAC format. You can even record and play with sounds via the Nintendo 3DS microphone with a variety of fun filters.
