Hi everyone,
One of my GC memory cards (not official) has failed.
I used it since I was a child, and I lost one of my favorite games' save data.
The other games' save date I lost are not important to me.
So I went the easy way and downloaded a save file found online.
I'm trying to Hex edit the profile's name.
The game ID is: GH2E
I'm almost sure the offset of the checksum is 0x2880 with a length of 32bit
I'm sure the game calculates the checksum based on the bits after the ckecksum and until EOF.
I triyed every single checksum method I'm familiar with. Even the suggested bzip2.
Maybe it's using a proprietary method.
Does anyone know how to hack these kind of saves and calculate their checksum?
I already started the game all over again anyway
but I found it interesting because this save uses a different method than others I know.
Thanks
