I only intend to use the r4 for games so which files/folders of the 1.08 kernal do i dont need? also, can i delete some of the theme folders?

You can delete all the of theme folder, however it will just default to the standard theme.

I forgot the exactly folder, but you can delete the 'moonshell' folder.

ive never used rom trimmer b4 but sometimes doesnt it over trim so it looks like 0.0 mb or sumthin like that =]

The R4/M3 trimmer included on the software cd, as well as [earlier?] versions of DSlazy can cause trimming issues.

edit: forgot to put cd >_>

I use a drag and drop .exe trimmer that came with one of the Neo MK menu releases. Never had a problem with it... ever.

personal opinion - keep the moonshell. its tiny, and you can at least show off or something with it. there's no way a game would fit in its place anyway, not even tetris...

Yea, its like 4 megs, probably do what you said.
To update the kernal in the future, i just delete everything of the previous one and put in the new one right?

Yeah this is off topic but my r4 finally arrived this week and it came with the disk with the lastest firmware (1.08) and i tried installing moonshell (1.6) on to my card and once i select the settings i want, i clicked the install button or whatever and it just comes up with

Unsucessfull
??????????

What am i doing wrong?
