Hardware New Wii Remote?

Sister bought a second Wii Remote for us today, and I just noticed it looks different then the one I got with my Wii in February...
Is it a new version?
It has lettering on the side and is build differently.

The newer one is obviously the one with text on it. Has anyone else seen this? My friends who bought extra Wii Remotes recently don't have these...

EDIT: Also friend just realised, "Made in China" isn't recessed

EDIT2: Also I just realised D: The B buttons font is wider and not as deep set in the button.

I have 4 wiimotes and there are subtle differences between 3 of them.

So is Nintendo going to decide on what version to use or what?

Its probably due to new moulds or different production factories.
There is no difference to the way it works.

All 3 of my wiimotes have the contour of the one on the right, but the writing on the side like the one on the left. The writing on mine is very different than yours too.

Yeah I have one remote with text and one with out. The one without is the newer one with the thicker strap bought with the PAL release of Wii Play whenever it came out. The font on the A & B buttons on the newer remote are slightly wider but I've only just noticed that after you mentioned it, other than those differences they are identical. Both work fine so I'm not complaining. ^^
