Thanks for the information GolfDude, looks like we are finally going to get a new homebrew channel to work around this update. The newest homebrew channel 1.0.6 has major problems on my wii so I am hoping for any bugfixes.

I wonder how much damage Nintendo has done on the homebrew community.

It was expected...every time you update through nintendo you will lose the homebrew channel, cIOSs, and bootmii depending on what version of boot2 you have installed.
