Hacking New Modchip coming - Wiiva!

Team avalunch, the guys behind the xbox dash avalaunch are bringing out a wii modchip.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before. Searched but found nothing.

but do we really need another drivechip right now?


instead of having all the teams who have a reputation from past consoles making more drivechips that really offer no new features (pre-tinned wires are not a feature at all) how about let's get some teams make some modchips.... then they'll get real publicity and money of course

Yeah, sure. All of the big groups are now in possession of the Wiikey and Wiinja Deluxe code so everyone is coming out of the woodwork with "new" chips. Notice that none of them offer anything new besides typical advertising rhetoric.

If you notice, the post on their website was made on April 12th. Nothing has been mentioned on this since.

There really won't be any worthwhile chips until they figure out 100% region-free. I can't think of any really useful features they could add. Maybe making it play movie DVDs?
