Kinda odd they'd release it without Siri =S.

They must have something in store for the iPad 3 with a new IOS update that includes Siri and much more.
Siri has no place or use on a tablet. On a phone, which has data everywhere it's useful(In theory).
But nobody wants to take their iPad out of their bags and dictate a command and put it away. It just doesn't make sense.

Siri requires Internet in order to function. But not all iPads have that, so some would be shut out. So it wouldn't be a good idea to add Siri...

(I want to be on the record saying I actually don't like Siri at all and I wouldn't use it. )

Just a little fact for those of you who are interested: the new iPad uses the same quad core GPU as the ones used in the PlayStation Vita.

That's cool. If the PSV had a sharper screen it could really match this iPad's graphics quality. :P

the ipad 3 is a complete waste. ppl shouldnt be wasting $400-$600 for a newer tablet which only upgrades its ram, graphics, and a bit of the camera...i don't understand why apple wanted to rush the release of ipad 3, when they should have taken their time, and made something amazing out of it...there is practically no difference between the ipad 2, and the ipad 3.

so in your business model, people wanting an ipad right now should pay for the same price they would for an ipad3 but instead get an ipad 2 because the upgrade is not worth it? are you hearing yourself?

It's similar, not the same. The difference is iPad 3 has MP4, whilst Vita has MP4+, according to Wiki. Vita is stronger (due to customisations by Sony) and has a much smaller resolution to output to, so the games will be higher quality than iPad. Not to mention iPad can't match the Vita for control interface options.

Forgot that. Sorry. :P

The Vita should have (it does have more fluid) better graphics anyway. It is a dedicated gaming device. ;)

The build is roughly the same, yes/no?
