I recommend waiting until the middle of nex year...good things come out next year...

I fully agree.

The 8800 will get outstripped soon, so id really just wait.

ESPECIALLY, if you want something top of the line, and if you want a good gaming computer, then id recommend waiting so you can have the best when it comes out. [Which it does soon]

The issue with waiting is: you wait you get the new thing then people will be telling you should have waited even longer because the next great thing is around the corner.

I have a 8800GTX then they released the GT for a fraction of the cost and only a 5% difference in performance.

How long has the 8800 been out now?

All im saying is, just wait till the newest one comes out, then get that.

Itll benefit him more than rushing this. Not to mention, maybe by that time, the new AMD processor will have come out, which is said to be better than the current Intels.

He could get a double benefit. He doesnt have to wait, i'd just recommend it.
