New 3Ds XL won’t recognize SD.

Hello! A few years ago my younger brother had broken my card slot on my 3Ds, and I couldn’t play it, but recently I modded it! It was really fun but, my 4GB microSD card is frustrating to work with, so I grabbed an older 128 GB SDXC MicroSD. I know it needs formatting to FAT32, which I did. The cluster size must be 64KB already, because I plugged it into my switch and my switch recognized it fine. My Chromebook also recognizes it, but I can’t use testdisk on it. My 3Ds XL alone won’t recognize it and nobody online has been of any help. I wanted to do one last ditch attempt before I just scrap it and buy a new 512 for it. Any help?

What exactly did you use to format the card? Using Godmode9 is generally the most reliable way.

The cluster size must be 64KB already, because I plugged it into my switch and my switch recognized it fine.

The cluster size is unrelated to whether your Switch will be able to recognize it.

My Chromebook also recognizes it, but I can’t use testdisk on it.

Why would you use testdisk on a freshly-formatted card?

buy a new 512 for it

Using a 512 GB SD card in a 3DS is a bad idea, especially considering you are never going to fill that card with things you are actually going to play.

Check if your partition is set to "Primary". IIRC the 3ds won't recognize SD cards if the partition is set to "Logical"

FAT32 primary partition with 64k cluster size ( I think you can use a bigger cluster size but I don't remember)
