i just got a new 3ds xl that was broken and i replaced the top screen, now i could still see the older top screen barelly but the parts i could see the 3d worked fine. And then i replaced the screen and all of the sudden i see ghosting, even when i close one eye i can see double images. CAN ANYONE HELP ME I LOVED THE 3D

Did you ever managed to fix this? I'm facing the same issue

If the 3D is working, crosstalk will be only in one eye (or at least much more obvious in one eye). Essentially, you should be able to change your viewing angle and distance to find a sweet spot. As you do this, the screen will flash and the image should flash and the images swap places in parallax, as your brain is figuring out what’s going on. The lines you should see flashing vertically as you do this are the parallax barriers. If your new screen doesn’t have these, it can’t display 3D images.

I think N3DS has technology to change alignment by tracking your head? If so, it shouldn’t be an alignment issue. Though you can experiment by rotating the 3DS slightly clockwise and anti-clockwise to check that it doesn’t make it better or worse.

Assuming you’ve messed around with the calibration, or if the 3D isn’t working at all, it might just be a bad or 3rd party screen, a 2D screen, or even something as simple as replacing or freeing up the ribbon cable.

There are also 2 types of screen in 3DS’ and I’m not sure how to tell which is which. There’s a small chance that you might be more susceptible to crosstalk on one over the other.

Hope you work it out! I get 3DS anxiety every time I turn mine on. Parts are getting scarcer and there’s currently no 3rd party alternative, unlike every other handheld.

Hi, yes i changed my screen from an IPS to a TN, and i think it's a sketchy one but i'm not sure onestly. The 3d does work but i need to move my head a little to the left. I can change the parallax barrier position using luma but for some reason when i'm looking at the screen from the center there isn't a single barrier position that let me see the image without a LOT of crosstalk. Idk what to do because i also changed the hwcal files but i still get this issue. Maybe it's just the screen but i wanted to know if i could try something before giving up.

The fact is that the new 3ds xl should use super stable 3d to change the barrier position and adapt the 3d to a lot of viewing angles, so it's very strange that looking at it directly from the middle doesn't work

Me too, every 3DS IPS screen that breaks is literally one less IPS screen in existence; there are no ther options besides the horrible TN panels from Aliexpress.
