As others said this is the sort of thing that should have popped up with a simple search.
Still

For the next few months at least MS offer a MS word viewer program, no editing but viewing and printing should do.

MS do not release the specs of the format but several groups have attempted to reverse engineer it, often to the point where they do better than MS at some of the older formats

Libreoffice, spinoff of the earlier openoffice project. Does well.

Can be installed via https://ninite.com/ as well.

Abiword, I have not followed them for a few years but it was a nice, lightweight and sometimes better than open/libre office of the time.

There are some others but most of those are variations on the theme of libreoffice, and if the above ones are not cutting it I am bound to have MS office on a machine I control somewhere. Equally if it matters I am probably writing it on a real word processor/typesetting program anyway.

One word..Linux. A free OS and apps, I can think of at least 10 ways to view it in Linux. It doesn't bother reading file extensions, just uses the most appropriate encoding when printing the text within.

The easiest way, if you really want to keep your windows, get a copy of LibreOffice for win and open it with their 'word processor' tool.
