Hi,

Two days ago i got my PAL WII and mod it with Wiikey i got from modchipfiters (which mean it is original chip).
After i modded i try to run config 1.2, config 1.3, update 1.9 but always got "unable to read disc".
My WiiSport original works fine.

I checked with DVM all the soldering and find no problem, i also check all of the lines from the chip on the wiikey to the chip on the board and every thing is OK (include 3.3V between the V and the ground) ===> So, IT's NOT A CHIP PROBLEM !!!

Maybe it's my burner (pioneer DVR-111D) ??
I burn on verbatim dvd-r x16 at speed x4 (also try x2 and x6).
try with nero and ImgBurn

i don't konw what is my wiikey firmware.
i don't know waht is my wii firmware (never connected to the internet and the only game i own is WiiSport)

one last thing, when i'm inserting a dvd to the wii it's start to spin and then after 3 seconds stop spining.

anybody ?? please ??

Thanks,
Yuval

To find out the firmware just go to the settings, it will say in the top right.

Well clearly you've found it isn't a problem with your chip (well at least you're so sure even though I think it is a problem with your chip as the original disc you have still works indicating there is no problem with your Wii, maybe it's D2C resulting in the chip not working, but as you say you are sure it isn't a chip problem so i won;t say that).

You should check by throwing your Wii out of a window from the top floor of a 20 story high building and then try again. Go directly through start and do not receive 200 dollars.

Owyea, and don't say I didn't help because what I think could be your problem is stated in the first paragraph of this reply.

Hrth!

Yeah, I'm with Scorpei. It's a chip problem.
You said the disc stops spinning after 3 seconds. Which means it's not being authorized to boot. Which means the chip isn't doing it's job.

If your original wii sports didn't work then I wouldn't think this.
