If I were to unpack the scripts from Steins;Gate Elite, could I technically replace them (manually) with the english scripts from the original VN? After all, Spike Chunsoft is using the same english translation. I already unpacked all the scripts from both games, and the file names are almost identical (Elite has 3 new files), all I need is a tool to modify the scripts (since they use different formats).
I already tried using SciAdv.NET, but it doesn't support either scripts (because it was made for Steins;Gate 0), this isn't a problem with the original VNs script since I can simply use the PC versions script files (which use the same format as S;G 0), but Elite uses another format. Is there another tool available to read MAGES scripts?

P.S. I know manually replacing the scripts will take a while, but it will still be faster than waiting for the english release.

It's possible, yes, but take into account that the Vita versions are somewhat different than the PC ones even if you see some similar (or even the same) files.; for example, the Vita versions may have a different charset, font and/or dependencies (mostly related for Vita) for the game to run on it. It may not be a simple job of just replacing text files here and there.

From what I can see SciAdv.Net is not a complete tool as it's still in development, and even if it were it's for another game that apparently uses the same engine, so it isn't ideal for what you want apparently. Have you tried opening an issue in the github? It seems they can at least point you in the right direction. You need to only be aware that the game files may need additional decrypting, which seems to be the case from what you have found already with the scripts.

It's currently impossible to do what I wanted to do, because S;G Elite has a shortened script, and The Committee of Zero doesn't share its tools (outside of the outdated ones on github).

Anyways, about the first post: Steins;Gate (steam and vita versions), Steins;Gate 0 (every version) and Steins;Gate Elite (I think every version) use exactly the same type of scripts (Phenogram for PC too, but I need to check other versions). Also, the tools to edit the scx scripts ARE in sciadv.net, but they are just in another branch. Anyways, elite scripts are almost the same as original sg ones, but they're cut in the narration part and a few things are different, so I waited for elite official English translation to port the scripts to vita (It would have been a big waste of time to adapt sg ones, because there was A LOT to adapt and the official translation was coming a few months after)
