Gaming Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

Is it just me or is NFS HP quite hard to play? The rush-hour games are too hard IMHO .
To get to the needed position you nearly need to never touch a car...

In NFS NITRO the AI was easier..

Any opinions for that or tips or whatever ??
