Hacking NDSLite Replacement hinge

Hello,

I purchased a replacement shell for my NDS that was badly beaten up to return it to nice new looking condition but the right hinge where the status lights are under have no clear plastic in the slots above the lights. Do all replacement shells miss this thing strip of clear plastic or is there some that I can buy that has these strips in?

(Having no plastic in there is bugging me

)

Preferably in the UK or cheap shipping to the UK.

That's odd, do you mean the part that covers the hinge(metal part)?

Since usually replacement shell comes with those plastic things attached to the top
half of the DS.

The little piece of plastic that covers the status indicators (on, charging, low battery). That part of the replacement set had no clear plastic strips like on original cases. Maybe I bought a bad quality one. Amazon.co.uk also shows pictures of those parts without the clear plastic.

Oh, I can't find them right now, it was either on DX or eBay.

DX is where I got my set that had no clear plastic. I will search around eBay and fire off a few emails to make sure they have that little plastic.

No I mean you can buy just the hinge on it's own with the light diffuser off eBay or DX. I just couldn't find it.

Use the light diffuser from your old case. Its the best thing to do.

If he had it he probably would have done this. If not, then he probably didn't think it was removable.

To get it out, just poke it from the top side with a small screwdriver using firm pressure, and it should just pop right out.

I do actually have 2 spare, somewhere...

Nope, I didn't think it would be poke-out-able. Damn. I think I threw it away since it was snapped.

I will be buying just the hinge with the light diffuser then.
