nope you're all good as long as you can sign into you NNID also the patcher is only needed for eShop

How would I go about playing MHU4 with friends for example. As I'm on 9.5 Emunand, aren't I unable to play online since I'm not on 9.9?

Just make sure you backup one of your retail carts using Gateway menu, then extract the header using Gateway Rom Patcher. Inject the header into the game(s) you want to play online with, renaming the extension to .3dz and you're all set.

Just know if you play a game first, then inject a header, the save will no longer work. So you'll want to use SaveDataFiler to backup the headerless save, then inject it into the new .3dz.

Okay, thanks for all your help.

If you want eShop access through the firmware spoof, you will have to sign into your NNID in sysNAND before that could happen. Make sure it's the same NNID as in emuNAND. I know it may not make sense at first, but your NAND's will still remain unlinked. Nintendo just needs to see your new sysNAND ID logged in from your NNID before your emuNAND can access it.

I seem to be having a different problem with BigBlueMenu. I filled up my MSD card with files to fit under the 100GB limit and now Dev Menu and BBM boot. Dev Menu I can actually boot in and move around but when I try to install a CIA I'm greeted with

Import Failed. File: (Whatever Cia)
Level: LEVEL_PERMANENT(-5)
Summary: SUMMARY_WRONG_ARGUMENT(8)
Module: MODULE_NN_FS(17)
Desc: <unknown>(394)

And when I try and boot BBM it will show that it's working for a few seconds and then it will crash and say I need to power down my console.

You can't have your entire SD card filled, and then try to install a CIA. If you have a 3GB CIA file, your SD card needs to also have an empty 3GB available meaning you need 6GB in total to install a 3GB CIA. I know you said you were having trouble with anything under 100GB but try taking a few files off first.

Honestly, sounds like your SD is having issues. You could backup your emuNAND with emuTOOL and try reformatting the SD card and then restoring your backup to see if it resolves some of the issues.

I'll probably try formatting my SD card. My SD card still has about 90GB of free space. I had to add files to get it under 100GB of free space so that BBM or DevMenu would actually launch. Now they launch but they just don't work.
