My Hard-Disk just died, and now I need a new one.
can anyone help me find a new one (80gb+ internal 2.5 inch. Standard laptop kind.)
and then I'll start a (wts) Trading Forum topic to sell the the dead disk. As a decoration.

Seriosly though.

If you need any more info then..

it says:
8455MB (CYL16383 , H16 , S63)
80.00GB (LBA 156,301, 488sectors)

And also:
S/N X5DX8502S 6N3 EC.A

Please.

First, you have to determine whether it's an IDE or SATA style hard drive. IDE is older, SATA is newer. Once you determine that, all you need to do is buy one (of any size) and it should work.....as long as you know how to format a computer or have setup disks that should have come with your laptop.

You not being from America leaves me at a loss for telling you where to get a new hard drive. My brother and I always use Newegg.com, but I don't know if they ship outside of America.

Hmm...

There is the possibility that it is possible to repair.

Ubuntu managed to recognise it (live CD) and said that it was not disconnected from windows properly...
How can it be fixed if even the laptop BIOS cannot recognise it?
Thanks for the sites btw... I'm gonna buy a small hard disk and use linux on it. (WINE!)
